Dear waitresses. When eating you can unfortunately tell (at least in our case) that it is an excursion restaurant. Not a total failure, but there isn't much love in it either. My husband liked his sausage salad, I didn't like my matjes with horseradish. It's all a matter of taste. It's pretty dark in the house, which is definitely due to the age of the house. Prices normal for such a busy place. Next time we'll just have a piece of cake. Portion size great, up to large.

One of the most popular excursion gas sites in Black Forest. Fantastic hiking trails, special in autumn. The stop at the Bütthof is a must! The selection of dishes is huge & hearty, for sat food for the whole family. Try .....

The gentleman at the entrance did not let me and my family with small children, because supposedly everything reserved. When we walked the way up almost everyone would be let in. Families with small children are certainly not welcome there. Make less turnover ... We and friends will certainly neither recommend nor visit the restaurant. A few kilometers away there are family-friendly restaurants.

Highly recommended and worth the trip. After the walk to the waterfall we are incarcerated in the beer garden with a dog. Very friendly and helpful operator and service. The food is very good, at reasonable prices. We had sausage salad with fried potatoes, a mixed salad, followed by a great Black Forest cake and a bottle of blueberry wine to take home. This is how you run a forest restaurant really well, despite the current requirements. There is enough parking space up on the street. What I find delighted by the visitors, they park in the turning zone! I know my car and turn around on a beer mat if need be, but there were some who had a lot of stress with it ... Here a little consideration would be appropriate, even if you have to walk 2 meters further ...

In a beautiful landscape, idyllically situated in the Grobbach valley, a rustic inn with a friendly host and very friendly staff. The wheat beer is first class, also alcohol-free, the food is perfect, lumberjack steak with baked potato and curd cheese is particularly recommended, also the turkey schnitzel with french fries is very tasty, everything is well seasoned, good quality and huge portions for the hunger for the hike, good value for money .. The large terrace and tent are airy and the landlord pays close attention to compliance with the corona rules.

Nicely located inn, ideal for a break after a hike to the Geroldsau waterfalls. These are approx. 300 m away. Very tasty grilled dishes and cakes.

This is an amazing hut in the middle of the wood. I would rather say it is a pearl into the Black Forest. The place is very hidden in the wood and you do not go there by coincidence. You either drive there or you walk there intentionally as part of your hike tour. It is located close to the waterfalls and that makes the visit even more enjoyable. The food is very genuine, well cooked and at affordable prices. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. I would say that even if you do not go for a walk there you need to stop to enjoy the amazing restaurant as part of your Black Forest visit. Absolutely recommended!

Were a lot going on Sunday today but all very friendly and good service so highly recommended. Food is delicious and in the summer season very delicious grilled food. All in all, highly recommended. Keep up the good work Team Bütthof
